Exploring the Determinants of Digital Transformation Adoption for SMEs in an Emerging Economy

In the fourth industrial revolution age, digital transformation is crucial to sustainable development of small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). This study suggests a hierarchical model based on Technology–Organization–Environment (TOE) with three main dimensions nine sub-dimensions for SMEs that implemented in emerging economy. The fuzzy analytic process methodology (Fuzzy AHP) was used explore rank determinants adoption SMEs. Data were collected by questionnaires from 72 respondents, who leaders Vietnam. results revealed environmental factor ranked most important pairwise comparisons structure, sub-dimension customer experience at highest ranking relative SMEs, followed technological compatibility, government support, organizational human resources. research makes contributions topic both theoretical practical implications. result stresses critical significance factors successful technologies which adds perspective context growing nation.
